About

“These pains you feel are messengers. Listen to them.”
~Rumi

Feelings? Always.

I believe in the mind-body-spirit connection and utilize this belief in my work.

One of the constants with our existence here is that we have feelings. This is something that universally connects us to one another.

Sometimes, our feelings serve us, like when we feel joy or peace. Sometimes, our feelings hurt us, like when we feel grief or sadness or anxiety.

I’m here to help you make sense of those hard feelings, the ones that are uncomfortable and unpleasant.

Revitalization – it can be in your future.

I work best with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety or sadness, issues that cause you great stress. I also work a lot with individuals who want to find more balance in their life.

As a potential client, my approach is to help you gain important insight into how you arrived at this place of unease. And equally important, I will also equip you with mindfulness-based strategies to begin finding relief in daily life.

I love helping you move from stress and burnout to revitalization.

My specialties to help you:

  • Mindfulness-based approach to dealing with sadness and anxiety. I work with you on how to move forward with your life when you’ve been stuck in a roller coaster of negative emotions.
  • I also specialize in working with grief and loss. One area I help with is around having a fractured relationship with someone who is still alive, but you have no, or limited, contact – often a family member. This type of grief is one of the most painful there is. Helping you move forward to reinventing your life is something I am passionate about.

Talking with a therapist gives you an opportunity to make sense of feelings that are confusing, a place to learn to manage those anxious or depressing thoughts. I help clients, who are experiencing anxiety or sadness, learn how to self-regulate their emotions by giving them tools, such as mindfulness and meditation or stress management techniques.

Together, we will find a sense of calm that has escaped you. We will learn about a “mindful pause” to slow things down when life seems overwhelming.

My philosophy is to meet you where you are and help you work on what brought you in to see me.

Trust the part of you that knows you’re worth it! I’m here to help!

About Me

As long as I can remember, I have been called “sensitive” by those who know me. While I used to see this as a sign of weakness, I now see it as an area of strength. I can truly understand what my clients are dealing with at a feeling level and assist them in moving forward with their lives.

I have worked in mental health, primarily with teens and adults, both as a private practitioner and as a Clinical Supervisor.

As I recommend to my clients, I work to have a balanced life, enjoying travel and time away, but also enjoying the opportunities in my daily life to be of service to others, enjoy our beautiful community and practice self-care.

I enjoy social time with friends, cycling with my husband, and playing the piano. One of my favorite activities is spending time with my young granddaughter.

I am also a lifelong practitioner of meditation, learning when I was 16 and incorporating it into my daily life. I have been on a spiritual journey throughout my adult life and look forward to what the universe has in store for me… And for you…
